NORDIC PRIDE (4) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when eighth, beaten 2.75 lengths, over 1m2f at Wangaratta after he got a long way back. Cherry-ripe now and is worth following up. WEST INDIES (5) wound up strongly last time out to finish 1.5 lengths adrift in third over 1m1 1/2f at Kyneton when fresh from a lay-off. Leading player again. LA ROSETTA (12) started at 9/2 last time on the back of a win at Wangaratta two starts ago but was below her best, finishing fifth over 1m1 1/2f at Kyneton after being prominent at the bend. Meeting a tougher field but on her best form she is right in contention. HOLLANDIA (2) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when he was beaten 4 lengths into seventh over 1m at this track. Fitter this time will prove harder to beat.
