STAR CROUPIER (8) came home strongly last start to finish third, beaten 1.3 lengths, over 7f at Ballarat when fresh from a break. Will be tough to stop again. PURLER PATCH (5) was thereabouts last time out when fourth over 7f at Pakenham. Won at his only start at this longer journey. Expected to run well. GLENFINNAN (2) was well in commission last time but ran below expectations when fourth and beaten 2.25 lengths over 1m at Pakenham. Should park just off the speed. Sure to be competitive. NEW YORK SCANDAL (7) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing third and beaten only 1.5 lengths over 1m2 1/4f at Moonee Valley. Suitably placed so anticipating another bold showing.
