AWESOME LINEUP (4) failed to run a strong 1m1f last start after a close second over 1m at Moonee Valley the run prior. Appeals back in trip this time so looks a leading contender. HAZEY HILL (9) did little and finished 16 lengths from the winner in ninth over 1m2f at Seymour last start after being prominent at the turn, a less impressive effort than his seventh at Caulfield Heath the run before. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. CUFFE'S GRANGE (3) returned from a lay-off a week-and-a-half ago when he was beaten 3.5 lengths into seventh over 7f at Wangaratta. Has a fair record when second up, including three top-three finishes. This looks a sterner test than last time but with added fitness he is right in contention. EVERYTHING COUNTS (2) registered a strong win two runs ago then turned in a decent effort last time out when second over 1m3/4f at Geelong, beaten a long neck. Nicely placed to feature in the finish.
