FIREFINCH (6) ran on strongly but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 4f at Narromine. Should be near her peak for this. Perfectly placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. FLIGHT OR FIGHT (3) missed the frame last time out when fifth over 4f at Narromine. Still a maiden but has been in the money on three occasions. Has a good record at this distance with three top-three results from five starts. Well placed and is among the leading players. HEAVENLY AZ (7) is a three-start maiden who finished seventh, beaten 5.5 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 4½f at Newcastle. Can come on from that run and looks a serious contender. AVIADORA (5) is back after a break of three-and-a-half months. At the last run before the layoff she finished seventh over 6f at Beaumont (Newcastle). Rates highly on best form and should be in the mix.
