BAMBI BELLE (5) showed early speed from a good draw last time and led until they straightened, eventually finishing fourth and beaten a long neck over 5f at Moruya. Expected to go close. MESMERISER (4) wasted no time getting off the mark on debut over 5f at Gundagai two weeks ago. Key runner. SHELLY'S ACE (7) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a lay-off on May 7 finishing seventh and beaten 8 lengths over 4½f at Goulburn. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
