SPEED OF GOLD (4) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when 14th, beaten 6 lengths, over 7f at Scone. Nicely placed to make amends. ALL CHIPS IN (1) missed the placings on debut two runs back then settled well back last start when 7 lengths away in ninth over 7f at Albury. Likely improver with strong prospects. WISER (6) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5½f at Traralgon, beaten 3 lengths. Fitter so expect a better run this time.
