SUMMER SONATA (13) showed little early speed last start and failed to come on in the straight when seventh, beaten 6 lengths, over 7f at Dubbo. Nicely placed to take this out. ALABAMA CHARM (2) returns after a lay-off of six months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 4½f at Newcastle. Looks a winning chance. CHAMBER OF SECRETS (8) did a good job last start to finish second at Scone over 7f, beaten half a length. That run should have her rock-hard fit now. Drawn ideally and is a winning hope. VENDOR (5) is returning from a lay-off of four months. Finished sixth at Sale over 5½f at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Mack Griffith. Fitter for a sixth in a recent trial over 5f at Muswellbrook.
