ENSIGN PARKER (5) last appeared when he finished eighth over 5f at Muswellbrook on November 5. Lines up. For the first time for trainer todd howlett. Rates highly and is likely to be prominent. LEASE (6) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Canberra, finishing fourth and only one length from the winner at the end of 6½f after being in the firing line on the bend. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is up to the challenge. BONDI PROPHET (9) pushed forward from a wide draw last time out and was prominent for a long way before fading to finish fourth over 6½f at Taree. Will push forward and is among the chances. BARCELONA EXPRESS (2) registered a strong win two runs ago then turned in a nice run last time out when sixth over 7¼f at Kempsey, beaten 3 lengths. Well placed and can make amends.
