ELLE MAGIC (8) did little and finished 25 lengths from the winner in 13th over 1m1/2f at Ipswich last start, a less impressive effort than her fifth at Doomben the run before. Finds the right race this time and can take this out. WEST CORK (2) showed good early dash last time out and led for most of the way before being claimed and finishing one length away in second over 6½f at Toowoomba. Well-placed and should be tough to rein in again. MERAPI (3) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7f21yards at Grafton, beaten 2.75 lengths into seventh. Likely improver with strong prospects. KING CORNELIUS (1) ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 1m at Taree after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Suitably placed so he can be prominent again.
