BONA FIDE STAR (6) returns after a lay-off of four-and-a-half months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 6f at Murray Bridge. Has found a suitable race. INNER SANCTUM (2) ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 7f at Broken Hill after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. HOT OFF (7) was in the market when resuming but could only manage fifth over 5f at Murray Bridge last start. Will appreciate the drop in grade. Has winning claims. MCLEOD (9) did little and finished 9 lengths from the winner in tenth over 7f at Murray Bridge last start after being in contention on the bend, a less impressive effort than his seventh on debut at Gawler the run before. Faces an easier assignment so he is perfectly placed to score.
