INTERLOCK EMPIRE (5) improved last time out, finishing 5 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 1m at Ellis Park after being prominent at the turn. Nicely placed to take this out. RAISING KANE (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m1/2f at Colonial Downs, beaten 4 lengths into fourth. Nicely placed to take this out. BOURBON STATE (4) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1m1f at Belterra Park, beaten 4 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he deserves plenty of thought. BATTLEOFLEXINGTON (7) is back at the races for the first time since May 24. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 1m at Fairgrounds. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with two minor placings. Sure to make his presence felt.
