PREFERENTIAL (16) is a distance specialist who has been in great form with two placings in succession, most recently when beaten 2.25 lengths into third over 1m4 1/2f at Flemington when she was in the firing line all the way. NEARING LIBERTY (15) finished out of the money when fresh from a lay-off two starts back then was beaten 3 lengths when seventh in a 1m1f contest at Flemington two weeks ago. Steps up a level but he is up to the task. GOLDENSTATEWARRIOR (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 2m at Morphettville, beaten 3.5 lengths into fourth. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
