HUGHES (7) did a great job to score by a long neck over this course and distance last time out to continue his outstanding recent form. Steps up a level but he is up to the task. SUNSHINEINMYPOCKET (10) knuckled down strongly to get within a head of the winner in second last start over 6½f at Bendigo. Can measure up. CARBONADOS (12) was in the money two starts back at Geelong but was unable to repeat the effort last time when ninth, beaten 7 lengths, at Bendigo over 6½f. Finds a nice race and can atone. RED PHANTOM (4) raced on the speed last start and battled on well but found one better over 7f at Cranbourne. Is going well this campaign, recording a win and three minor placings from seven starts. Minor claims.
