PURE GRUNT (4) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 4.5 lengths into seventh over 7½f at Cranbourne. Beautifully placed and is sure to be there at the finish. MORRISSETTE (11) finished fourth over 1m at this track when resuming last start, beaten only 1.75 lengths. Has a fair record when second up, including three top-three finishes. Fitter so anticipating a better run this time. COMMANDER HARRY (1) finished second at St Arnaud two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1m2f at Mortlake, finishing 9 lengths back in sixth. Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves another chance. SALSITA (5) finished third last time over 1m2f at Kilmore, beaten 8 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. Suitably placed so anticipating another forward showing.
