REGAL LOVER (7) remains a maiden after four runs. Met with plenty of support last time but could only manage to finish sixth over 7f at Ballarat after he was well back on straightening. Among the top chances in what looks a most suitable race. THURMOND (5) was in the firing line on the corner and finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 1m at Pakenham, beaten 0.8 lengths. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is right in contention. SACRED FORT (8) was out of the placings last time over 7f at Rosehill but is a stronger performer at the third run back from a lay-off. Likely improver who can feature in the finish.
