Race Tip

LAYIN' UP (14) wasn't far away when resuming last start, finishing third over 6f at Murray Bridge after she gave away a big start. The extra journey should play into her hands. Will pay to follow up. MOTORING SPIRIT (7) showed little early speed last start and failed to come on in the straight when eighth, beaten 7 lengths, over 6½f at Seymour. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time. BOLOGNA BABY (4) gave away a considerable start over 5½f at Hamilton last time before hitting the line well to finish fourth. Outdashed but got home well and the extra ground looks a big plus. Well placed and expected to feature. HAYHAT (18) could only manage to finish fifth, beaten 2.5 lengths, at his latest appearance over 7f at Werribee. Suited in this line up and is among the better hopes.
