Decent effort last time out when prominent at the corner before finishing fourth over 1m2f at Penola, beaten 2.25 lengths. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. RIPPA BUDDY (11) proved too strong two runs ago at Mt Gambier. Couldn't follow that up last time out when sixth over 7¾f at Mt Gambier, beaten 3.5 lengths. Meets a stronger field but he is worth serious consideration. BERGASUN (1) ran fourth at his latest appearance over 1m4 1/4f at Geelong, clocking in 2 lengths from the winner. Must be respected.
