ARTGIRL (5) showed good early speed then led into the straight last start before fighting on to finish second, beaten a head, over 7f at Randwick Kensington. Well-placed and is going to prove tough to run down. SNITZEL MISS (1) drifted back then made late ground to finish fourth when when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6½f at Randwick Kensington. Has never been out of the placings at this stage of the prep. Back-marker who keeps coming. Will be tough to stop. SORENTINA (9) defied her big price last time when beaten just 0. 9 lengths into fifth over 5½f at Wyong. One of the contenders. FRONT RANK (2) is a three-year-old gelding on debut by Snitzel from In The Vanguard who has been a prolific producer including a winner at G1 level. Coming along well at the trials with a minor placing at his most recent at Randwick. Comes from a stable which has an impressive strike rate with the first-starters. Sure to be competitive despite an awkward draw.
