VERBIL (9) was well supported when resuming last time out over 6f at Scone and proved too strong, scoring by a long neck. Has a liking for this trip and looms as the one to beat again. BROADWAY BOUNCER (1) last appeared when he finished eighth over 7f in the Provincial Championships Final at Randwick on April 12. Comes here with definite claims. SPIRITS BURN DEEP (13) started at 11/2 last time on the back of a win at Goulburn two starts ago but was below her best, finishing seventh over 6½f at Canberra.
