Race Tip

PICTOR (17) finished a nose from the winner in second on debut over 5½f at Randwick Kensington on July 16 and has not appeared since. Fitter for a fifth in a trial over 4½f at Rosehill. Handy draw will assist so he will prove tough to beat again. PELEUS (14) worked home well and finished 1.5 lengths from the winner in fifth last start over 5f at Wyong, an improvement on his when resuming sixth at Rosehill the run before. Taking on a better line-up this time but he is up to the challenge. BENEVAC (2) returned last time with a solid third at Gosford over 5½f after being in the firing line on the corner. Meeting a deeper field this time but he cannot be underestimated. FERNWEH (6) first time out after just one run in first campaign where he finished among the placegetters at Warwick Farm. Fitter for recent trials and is among the chances here.
