JELLICIOUS (10) is a maiden galloper who hasn't raced since finishing in the placings over 5f at Warwick Farm four-and-a-half months ago. Fitter for two trials, placing most recently. Leading contender. MARAIS (4) raced on the speed from the outset last start and finished second, beaten 1.3 lengths, over 6f at Newcastle. Must raise the bar but he has the talent to test this line-up. ETON (1) is a colt by I Am Invincible out of English on debut. Placed in a recent trial. Worth watching for positive market moves. THE ACT (5) pushed forward on debut last start and boxed on to finish third over 5½f at Wyong. Harder here but is among the better hopes.
