TROOPER (3) was an impressive winner last time over 6f at Bathurst, scoring by 6 lengths and making it two straight wins. Looks well placed again here. MATCHSTICKS (6) is back at the races for the first time since December 31. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5f at Orange. Makes plenty of appeal. BUTTON UP (1) produced another moderate effort last start when 4. 5 lengths from the winner in eighth over 6¼f at Newcastle. No surprise to see him in the frame. SHEZAIN (4) is a progressive galloper who is when resuming since finishing 11th over 6½f at Rosehill 11 weeks ago. Has never missed the frame when fresh from a lay-off in two starts. Will appreciate a drop in grade. Not to be discounted.
