LAUREL HILL (8) has been going well this prep, scoring last start over 7f38yards at Moruya to make it two wins from three runs this time in. Takes on a tougher assignment this time but a bold showing is expected. FANGELA (3) hasn't been far away lately, last time out finishing just 3 lengths back in fifth over 6f at Canberra Acton. Will find this a little tougher but a bold showing is expected. TORETTO (5) stepped up in trip to 1m last time at Randwick and ran below his best, finishing 6 lengths away in 11th. Better suited at this shorter trip so he is one of the main contenders. BREAKING GROUND (11) proved too strong two runs ago but was not as effective last time out when sixth over 6f at Goulburn, beaten 6 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can run a bold race.
