STRAIGHT FIRE (3) won when resuming then settled well back and couldn't make up the ground last time over 6f at Moruya, clocking in seventh and 3.5 lengths from the winner. Billy Owen who has two wins when partnering stays on. Will strip fitter and is one of the big chances. MISS STALWART (5) ran very well when resuming then sat on the pace before fading to finish fifth last time out over 6½f at Goulburn. Well placed and is among the leading players. LEVIS CRIMINALIBUS (6) started this campaign with a win then couldn't follow that up last time out when seventh over 7f at Goulburn, beaten 7 lengths. One of the main hopes.
