Serious contender again with the confidence high. FORBIDDEN GEMSTONE (7) showed good speed last time out and fought on well when third over 6f at this track. Can spear across from the awkward gate. Teaghan Martin stays on and although yet to win has been in the money on four occasions. Well placed and should be in the finish. CHAMPAGNE IN LACE (4) returns from a layoff of six months. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5½f at Echuca. Worth plenty of thought. RARE BEAUTY (1) resumed last start over 5f at Moruya and showed little early speed, settling well back but hitting the line hard to finish third, beaten 2.75 lengths. Tough to stop again.
