Race Tip

TEXAS OPEN (12) is a genuine type with two minor placings from three starts this prep. Continued the trend last start when runner-up over 6f at Goulburn after he was well back on straightening. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. NO ESCAPING THIS (9) wasn't far away last time at big odds, finishing fourth over 1m at Wagga. Likely to feature. DOWNTOWN'S ABBEY (3) went forward and gave a great sight when third over 6f at Wagga on debut last start. Will find this assignment a little tougher but can measure up. BEOGRAD BOY (4) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at Cowra but raced below expectations last time over 6½f at this track, finishing seventh and beaten 5.5 lengths. Has his share of ability and can do a lot better.
