PHILHARMONIC (6) knuckled down strongly to get within a nose of the winner in third last start over 6½f at Stawell on debut. Can go on with it. IRISH WAVE (4). BLUE ENSIGN (3) is a four-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 7 lengths when fifth over 7f at Seymour. Will derive great benefit from that outing and deserves consideration. KOVU (1) resumed two weeks ago over 6½f at Stawell and was only beaten 1. 3 lengths into seventh. Fitter this time will prove harder to beat.
