BETTER BE SLICK (4) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was always well out of his ground over 4¾f at this track, beaten half a length into fifth. Meeting a deeper field this time but he deserves another chance. ELLIE'S DREAM (13) showed good early speed last start before boxing on well and finishing second, beaten 1.2 lengths, over this trip at this track. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. NORTHERNONTAP (6) was in the money two starts back at Townsville but couldn't back it up last time when 11th, beaten 5 lengths, at Townsville over 6f. Best figures measure up nicely. Solid top-three prospects.
