MODERNISSIMO (5) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m3f at Pakenham Synthetic, beaten 5.5 lengths into fourth after being in the firing line on the corner. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. TROPIC SANDS (2) has progressed nicely in his last couple of runs. Finished third at Townsville two starts back then got the job done by a nose as favourite last time out over 1m2f at Townsville. Justin Huxtable scored on him last time and retains the mount. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. BETTA AL (7) finished just under two lengths away from the winner last time at Townsville on a soft ground and gets some weight relief here. Expected to be competitive. MODERN LEGEND (10) showed little early speed then came with a powerful run to finish third last time out over 7½f at this track. Will be tough to stop again.
