ITALIAN VIRTUOSO (1) was having his first run for the Lindsay Gough yard last start when he made steady ground to run into third over 4¼f at Gympie at the first run back from a lay-off. One of the genuine hopes in the race. PLAYFUL PASSION (4) is back from a ten weeks lay-off and she does run well when resuming, including a win over 5f211yards at Gladstone at the start of last prep. Winning chance while fresh. HEAVY REIGN (3) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 5f32yards at Gympie, scoring by 0.6 lengths. Shaping up nicely and she is a solid top-three hope. KING INVINCIBLE (2) finished second at Nanango two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 4¼f at Gympie, finishing 4.5 lengths back in seventh. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
