SURF PATROL (2) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Ascot, beaten 20 lengths. Has been in the money at each second up start. Natasha Faithfull is a key engagement. Tackling a more suitable race so he is a major player. RIVER ANGEL (8) finished second at this track two runs back but was less effective last time over 7½f at Ascot, finishing 5. 5 lengths back in seventh. Nicely placed to turn things around. STATE OF FURY (6) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a lay-off on September 3, finishing ninth and beaten 7 lengths over 1m1/4f at Belmont Park. Worth plenty of thought.
