WAR COUNCIL (2) doesn't win out of turn but ran a strong race last time out over 6¼f at Cairns, finishing fourth and beaten 1. 5 lengths after being prominent at the turn. Finds the right race this time and can find winning form. KING CANUTE (6) was in the firing line on the turn and finished second last start over 7½f at Cairns, beaten 3. 5 lengths. This is a suitable assignment and can get the job done.
