Expecting a bold showing. DURHAM (5) has four minor placings from six starts this time in work, the latest as favourite over 1m2f at Mildura. Drawn to enjoy a good run so he looks a genuine threat. KNIGHTS EMPEROR (18) is a maiden galloper resuming from a lay-off after finishing eighth over 6f at Beaumont (Newcastle) at the latest appearance on December 26. Trialling well leading into this. Should be involved in the finish. RAINY NIGHT (9) is a four-start maiden who finished sixth, beaten 4. 5 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6½f at Seymour.
