AUTUMNHEAT (3) is still a maiden after eight starts but was placed at Ballarat when resuming before finishing fourth at Flemington last start. Should be ready to break through. SNORE (8) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 5.5 lengths into eighth over 1m at Pakenham Synthetic. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is fitter and good enough to feature. ALPINE HONEY (1) is yet to break through in three runs. Finished ninth at his last appearance over 1m1 1/2f at Mildura on August 9 after he was well back on straightening. Cannot be ruled out in this suitable assignment. WILLIE SUNSHINE (11) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to finish fourth over 1m3 1/4f at Sale. Well placed and is among the chances.
