POINT BARROW (10) has not raced since she drifted back on debut nine months ago then wound up nicely to finish third over 5f in the LR Merson Cooper Stakes at Caulfield. Placed in a recent trial. Will be better for that race experience and should prove tough to beat again. SHINJINA (13) made an encouraging debut last time out, finishing 0.8 lengths from the winner in third over 5f at Sandown-Hillside. Big chance based on that effort. DAVIDA (15) is a maiden galloper resuming. After a lay-off of five months. Closed last campaign with a fourth over 5½f at Pakenham, beaten 5.5 lengths. Fitter for two lead-up trials, including a win. One of the contenders. YUUKI (14) made debut at Caulfield Heath and finished in the placings before going for another break. Fitter for recent trials and is among the chances here.
