HANDSOME DEVIL (1) did little and finished 3.5 lengths from the winner in sixth over 7f at Horsham last start, a less impressive effort than his fourth on debut at Stawell the run before. Nicely placed to get the prize. BRUTALRULE (5) is a promising type who was in the placings on debut before a fourth last time over 6f at Pakenham. Should park just off the speed despite the draw. Leading contender. SPECULATING (7) resumes from a lay-off of five months. Could only manage to finish fourth at the latest run over 1m at Seymour. Tuned up with a eighth in a recent trial at Cranbourne. Leading player on best figures - bold showing expected. JUST RICH LIKA (2) missed the frame last time out when seventh over 5½f at Kyneton. Still a maiden but has been in the money on three occasions. Has been in the frame at all two runs over this trip. Expected to run well.
