HANAFUBUKI (6) turned in an eye-catching run last start over 1m2 1/4f at Moonee Valley, dropping out early before coming home with a powerful run to finish third. Will prove tough to stop. ALPINE ROCKET (3) drifted back and never threatened when seventh last start over 1m4 1/2f at Flemington. Finds an easier assignment and can find winning form. BLACK PEPPERMINT (1) has progressed nicely in his last couple of runs. Finished second at Mornington two starts back then got the job done by 4.5 lengths last time out over 1m2 1/4f at Mornington. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. EAGLE WARRIOR (5) scored in a at Stony Creek but was below his best last time when fifth over 1m4f at Moe. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
