COSMIC CHARGER (1) knuckled down strongly to get within one length of the winner in second last start over 6f at Seymour when fresh from a lay-off. Among the better chances. TITAHI BAY (14) was well in commission when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5½f at Bendigo but could only manage sixth, beaten 5.5 lengths. Open to plenty of improvement and is among the winning hopes.
