NINE BALL (5) was well in commission last time but ran below expectations when fourth and beaten 3. 5 lengths over 7f at this track. Clint Johnston-Porter who has two wins when partnering stays on. Bold showing expected. MAALIS SONG (4) registered his first win when resuming last start over 6f at this track, getting home by 0. 8 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Re-unites with Laqdar Ramoly who was on board last start. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again. RALLY THE TROOPS (2) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on 28/06/2025, finishing 12th and beaten 8 lengths over 1m at Pinjarra. Worth plenty of thought.
