STEP ON FIRE (11) wound up strongly in the run home last start to register an impressive win over 7f at Dalby. Winning rider Morgan Butler stays aboard. Should be in the finish. MONASTERY (1) ran below expectations last time at Murwillumbah, finishing ninth and beaten 5 lengths starting at 9/2. Nicely placed to make amends. GRAND CRUSADER (7) finished 6 lengths away in eighth last time out over 6f at Toowoomba a month ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Will appreciate the drop in grade. Well placed and should be in the finish. HURRICANE HARLOW (10) was unplaced two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 7f at Coffs Harbour, beaten 2 lengths into fifth. No surprise to see her in contention.
