MOUNT DOVE (12) settled well back and never threatened when seventh over 5f at Mornington last time out. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. MISSION RIDGE (2) showed good speed and led for much of the way before fading to finish sixth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 6f here last time. Likely to take some running down. MIXED SPICE (4) settled well back when 5.5 lengths from the winner in tenth over 5½f at Ipswich last start, a less impressive effort than her when resuming fourth at this track the run before. Perfectly placed and is sure to play a major role. TOP BIRD (7) finished eighth two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 5½f at Murwillumbah, beaten only 1.4 lengths. Looks to be in the right race so expect another big run.
