PREPOTENT (1) finished out of the money two starts back then he got a long way back and was beaten 2 lengths when fourth in a 6¾f contest at Ipswich two weeks ago. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. NEGATION (14) finished just under two lengths back from the winner last start at Ballina on soft going and is down in weight this time. Will drift back but wind up late. Leading contender. INVAHIR (2) has scored at his last two starts, most recently by a neck over 6½f at this track as favourite. That continued the very strong form this campaign, with two wins from three starts. Should be in the finish. MILLWARD (5) resumed over 6¾f at Ipswich last start and was too good for his rivals, scoring by a nose. Fitter for that last hitout and cannot be ruled out.
