SUPER NORWEST (11) was prominent through the early and middle stages but peaked on her run and finished sixth when resuming over 5½f at Randwick last start. Should park just off the speed. Will play a major role. SHIPSHAPE (3) did little and finished 4.5 lengths from the winner in eighth over 7½f at Rosehill last start, a less impressive effort than his seventh at Hawkesbury the run before. Finds an easier assignment and can take this out. HOT EXTRACTION (9) registered his first win last start over 5½f at Wellington, getting home by 1.2 lengths. Tougher assignment this time but is one of the main contenders. LONHRO'S QUEEN (12) was easily accounted for when fifth last start over 7f at Tamworth, beaten 4.5 lengths after a good when resuming win at Mudgee. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
