CAFFREY (1) missed the placings two starts back when resuming then ran a better race when he made late ground and finished 2. 5 lengths away in fourth last time out over 6f at Thangool. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is up to the challenge. ECHO POINT (2) finished 3. 5 lengths away in fourth last time out over 7f at Longreach a week ago. Steps up in distance. Should settle handy in the run. One of the main contenders. TAVANASIA (6) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5½f at Springsure, beaten 11 lengths into seventh. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
