CROWN REACH (8) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5f at Mckinlay, beaten 5 lengths. Has a fair record when second up, including two top-three finishes. Must raise the bar but can make amends. DEEP MYSTIQUE (2) was beaten 7 lengths into seventh over 5½f at Gold Coast Poly six-and-a-half weeks ago. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
