MACEDON ROSE (12) settled well back then found the line nicely to finish fourth, beaten one length, over this journey at Sandown-Hillside last time out. Watch for her to be charging home again. ACTIVE DUTY (7) hit the frame two starts ago at Morphettville Parks but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 3 lengths over 7¼f at Geelong after being in the firing line on the corner. Ideally placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. VAN ROY (9) finished out of the money two starts back then he got a long way back and was beaten 7 lengths when sixth in a 6½f contest at Coleraine two-and-a-half weeks ago. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. ZAMBORGHINI (5) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m1/4f at Flemington, beaten 4 lengths into fifth. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
