LA PETITE ANGELE (4) ran below expectations when fresh from a lay-off at Seymour over 6f last time, finishing fifth and beaten 3.5 lengths after being prominent at the turn. Meets a stronger field but she is up to the task. MEG'S MAGIC (15) is having her first run since March 11. Has never missed the top-three at the start of her campaigns, and she did win over 5½f at Sale at the start of last prep. Expect her to pose a serious challenge. CADBOLL (1) showed good early speed from the inside draw last time and led into the straight but faded right out of it, finishing eighth over 6f at this track. Definite winning hope. THREE GRAND (13) was in the money two starts back at Ballarat Synthetic but was unable to repeat the effort last time when seventh, beaten 3.5 lengths, at Pakenham Synthetic over 6f. Best figures measure up nicely. Solid top-three prospects.
