SANDRINE (7) showed good early dash and led for much of the way before weakening out of it when 4.5 lengths away in seventh over 6½f at Wagga. Likely to take some running down. MAGIC EDITION (6) switches to synthetic for the first time. Finished in the money two runs back and followed that with an unplaced effort, beaten 4 lengths, over 5½f on turf at Kyneton. Sure to play a significant role. TREBEL REBEL (3) went forward and proved too strong on debut last start, scoring with a head to spare over 5½f at Horsham. Tackling tougher opposition but must be respected.
