OVERPASS (1) showed early speed from a good draw and led until entering the straight when when resuming from a break last start, eventually holding on for second and beaten a nose over 6f in the G1 TJ Smith Stakes at Randwick. Well-placed and will take catching. HEADWALL (6) is close to a win based on recent form, the latest effort a commendable third against better opposition over 6f in the G1 TJ Smith Stakes at Randwick. Will drift back but wind up late. Will prove tough to beat. WESTERN EMPIRE (3) lines up for the first time since December 14. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 5½f at this track. Comes here with definite top-three claims. FRONT PAGE (2) went forward over 5½f in the G1 The Galaxy at Rosehill last time but found one better. Strong record with Tyler Schiller aboard, including three wins. Open to improvement.
