ESSENTRIC NATURE (6) was heavily backed and justified the support when resuming last start over 5½f at Bunbury, scoring by 1.2 lengths. Fitter for that last hitout and must be respected. HIT THE JACKPOT (4) was an impressive winner last time over 5f at Pinjarra Scarpside, scoring by 3 lengths to make it three on the bounce. Has the speed to be prominent. Expecting a bold showing. TOP OF THE POPS (3) returned from a break last start with a less than impressive tenth over 6½f at Mt Barker after travelling back in the field from the outset. Beautifully placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. SOSO LUCKY (7) will strip fitter for this after running below expectations when resuming at Pinjarra Scarpside, finishing seventh and beaten 2.75 lengths over 6f. Well placed to make amends.
